Rem Koolhaas - monditalia entrance

this was quite impressive, so glad I got to see this in person at my first Venice Biennale! :)

Today: abstract shapes, concrete architecture. Auditorium building Delft University of Technology.

Now I’m really wishing that I would’ve gone inside that building when I was there!!!!!

I’ve always felt like I wanted to make a difference in the world, and looked for opportunities in life that would let me do just that. Recently a family member made a good point to me… I can make a difference in my world every day with the people I see and things I do all the time.. this is a perfect reminder of that. :)

It really makes me sad how once the 80’s started they covered up the iconic and beautiful architecture with ads.

I thought it was a completely new building, but nope, just covered in advertising.

To the-green-dream I share your interest in food systems. If you see this, it’d be great to have a chinwag about sustainability sometime! (I haven’t followed you long enough to send a fan mail so until then~)

oh my god

Minimalism is not a style, it is an attitude, a way of being. It’s a fundamental reaction to noise, visual noise, disorder, vulgarity. Minimalism is the pursuit of the essence of things, not the appearance. Minimalism is beyond time. It is timelessness. It is the stillness of perfection.
